After two days of crazy weekends, many people will have Blue Monday "Monday Syndrome" and feel particularly upset on Monday. But some research has found that Tuesday is the most difficult day of the week.
The London Institute of Political Economy (LSE) conducted a two-month study, where they enlisted 22,000 volunteers using iPhones to record facial expressions with apps twice a day, while being asked how they felt, who they were with, whether they were at home and what they were doing. The researchers analyzed the changes in facial expressions of the subjects, and the results showed that people on Tuesday were particularly depressed. George MacKerron, a student who participated in the study, said Monday was still left with the weekend's wildest rest, but Tuesday was fully into work week, completely losing the weekend's pleasure, but it would take a long time to leave the next weekend.
