A different figure appeared at this year's SEMICON Taiwan exhibition hall - FedEx.

Before the global tax storm over such other countries, this global logistics giant appeared at the annual semi-conductor conference for the first time. There were no machine storms and no crystal displays. Instead, it appeared as a chain partner, becoming an intriguing existence at the exhibition. Taiwan's exports exceeded US$50 billion in April, and the export scale in August reached US$58.49 billion, an annual increase of 34.1%. Not only did it reach a new monthly high in the year, it was also the first time in history that it had exported more than South Korea in a single month. The surge in sea and air volume has become a must-fight for military strategists.

Semiconductor products are extremely sensitive to vibration, temperature, humidity and static discharge during transportation, and any environmental errors may cause huge losses. FedEx said it has provided shock-proof packaging, temperature-controlled transport and anti-static measures with years of professional experience, and combined with digital tools to improve accuracy. For example, the SenseAware ID sensor can return the piece positioning information every two seconds, and is combined with FedEx Surround® monitoring and dry pre-resolution solutions, which can detect abnormalities early and actively intervene through real-time data and AI analysis to ensure that semiconductor highly sensitive parts can be delivered safely and accurately.

FedEx Taiwan Regional General Manager Su Zhimin said: "This is the first time that FedEx has made its debut at the International Semiconductor Exhibition. We are looking forward to exchange with important partners in the industry. Taiwan's role in the global semiconductor supply chain is irreplaceable, especially in advanced processes and OEM capabilities. Our role is to use the global network to connect Taiwan with the European, American and Southeast Asian markets, and make Taiwan's industries more competitive and competitive on the international stage."

Taiwan is an important market for FedEx in the Asia-Pacific region. The company pointed out that the first direct flights in Taiwan and South Korea have been opened recently, which has greatly improved the service efficiency and capacity of the two markets, especially helping the trade development of high-tech industries. At the same time, it has also continued to strengthen the connection between the routes with Europe and Southeast Asia, ensuring that Taiwanese companies can still enjoy stable and efficient logistics support in the environment of rapid global supply chain changes.

Based on the information from the Institute of Industry Information Research (MIC) of the Information Society, Taiwanese manufacturers predict that by 2030, they will have about 80% of global production capacity. As demand for artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) continues to rise, supply chains have become increasingly strict for speed, imperfection and safety. FedEx's first appearance in SEMICON Taiwan also means that logistics operators are entering this key competition and becoming an indispensable link in the semiconductor industry.
