What to do if solid wood floors are deformed
Solid wood floors are made of natural wood, and have many advantages such as moisture isolation, sound insulation, warm heat, warm winter and cool summer, strong elasticity, and comfortable feet. Today, most consumers have recognized the outstanding advantages of solid wood flooring among a variety of living flooring materials. To solve the problems of moisture absorption, expansion and deformation of solid wood floors, the following are listed here for your reference:
A. Floor moisture-proof treatment method: generally use “ three oil and two felt ” (three layers of asphalt and two layers of linoleum felt paper, and then apply a layer of cement on it to prevent the release of harmful air); the simple treatment method is to lay a layer of moisture-proof film.
B. Balance the expansion of the plate by installation: some add a layer of fur floor to the keel, some require a 0.2mm wide gap between the plates, some require a trap to be left in the four corners of the indoor area to facilitate moisture release, some require springs to be installed in the expansion joints of the wall floor, some use aluminum alloy keel, and some use rail-type wooden floor installation method, etc.
C. Moisture-proof treatment method for plates: paint and wax on the back plate, coated with aluminum platinum, and coated with plastics using nanotechnology.
In fact, after the solid wood floor is laid, sometimes there will be tiled deformation in part, mainly because the ground is wet, and the moisture on the ground is often caused by the ground reflux or local seepage. When laying a keel skeleton, the wet and dryness of the wood varies depending on the wood, and the vertical and horizontal expansion varies greatly, so the keel skeleton will deform, crack, and arch after encountering tide, so that the floor will be tiled. The use of the paving treasure method can effectively prevent the above situation from happening. Since this method eliminates the keel skeleton, there is no question of deformation. This suspended laying method has a small moisture permeability test, so it has good moisture resistance and moisture resistance. Paving Bamboo can well isolate the moisture on the cement floor from the wooden floor, so that the phenomenon of tiles in the wooden floor can be avoided.
What to do if composite floors are deformed
Laminated floors are made of high-density boards. Due to the high density, only the end joints will absorb water and expand. If there is no large area of bulging, it is recommended to open windows for ventilation without considering the beauty. It can be used normally and replaced in time due to seriousness!
1. It is best to replace the laminated floor that has been soaked and deformed. It is not recommended to plan the arched part and then repaint it, because after flattening the arched part, repainting will cause incongruity with other boards, and the thickness of the entire wooden board is uneven, and the stress is different, making it easy to cause pits.
2. If the laminated floor is soaked in water, the surface water on the laminated floor must be sucked dry in the shortest time. At the same time, use a vacuum cleaner to absorb water vapor in the splicing gap of the laminate floor soaked in water, or use a hair dryer to dry it with cold air, but do not use hot air to prevent the surface from being dry and deformed due to heat drying.
3. If you soak in water in a small area, it is recommended not to pry the floor up and dry it, as it will easily cause hard damage to the floor and may cause serious consequences of inability to resume use. It is best to quickly remove the floor's skirting line, expose the expansion joints, and distribute the water vapor through the expansion joints. Depending on the amount of water seepage, it usually takes about three to ten days to dry.
4. If it is soaked in large areas, you should notify the after-sales service office of the laminate floor in a timely manner, and carefully pry the wooden floor while trying to keep the laminate floor undeformed. Place it in a ventilated place with the weight generated by the stacking to prevent deformation. Be careful not to be exposed to the sun. Generally, laminate floors with better quality can be used again.
