The Sun reported that Manchester City installed a brand new giant screen at the Etihad Stadium, the latest upgrade project in the stadium's 300 million pound renovation plan.
Etihad Stadium was originally equipped with two screens that provide game day information and entertainment content, and now the new giant screen in the southeast corner is in place. It coincides with the first home game against Tottenham in the new season. The club aims to enhance the fans' viewing experience. The new screen will display the team's lineup and club information with a larger and clearer picture.
At the same time, the club is promoting the expansion of the North Stand, and it is expected to add a new floor of the Stand next year. This will increase the stadium capacity to 61,470 seats, becoming the fourth largest stadium in the Premier League, slightly surpassing Liverpool's Anfield Stadium, and Manchester City will also create a top-class aerial bar viewing area with a capacity of 450 people. The
club also announced plans include a brand new City Square fan area, club museum, official shops and a giant hotel with 400 rooms. Most facilities will not be put into use until next year.
In January, Manchester City's Director of Infrastructure and Development Ed Dalton said: "The project is being advanced rapidly. The project is divided into four parts: North Stand expansion, hotel construction, commercial wings and the ceiling fan area of the city square. After summer and winter construction, we have completed all foundation projects and will be promoted to minimize the impact on fans during the offseason."
