The Manchester Evening News reported that Manchester United defender Lisandro has entered the final stage of rehabilitation from a knee injury and is close to returning to team training. He suffered a serious cruciate ligament injury against Crystal Palace in early February and has been sidelined ever since.
It is understood that after a period of personal grass training, Martinez is not far away from participating in the team training. While the club are taking a cautious approach and won't rush his return, a realistic return target could be an away game against Tottenham in November.
After Lisandro returns, he is expected to compete with Luke Shaw, who has been a fixed left center back this season, for the starting position. This is Lisandro's fourth season at Manchester United. He made 32 appearances for the team last season.
