Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Walton was interviewed recently and talked about the transfer rumors surrounding him.
Wharton said: "I don't pay much attention to it, and I don't think too much about it. There are always rumors circulating on social media. Is it true? Or is it false? You tell me."
"My friends, my family, my brothers, everyone will send me messages and ask me, 'Is it true that this club is interested?'. I just say, 'Thank you for telling me, because I don't even know.'"

In the same interview, Walton was specifically asked about the rumors with Manchester United. He said: "I don't know who's spreading it or who Manchester United are following. I see it and I think, 'Oh, okay' and then I just go on with my day."
"Manchester United, those big teams, they're all linked to 10, 20 different players. If I'm just one of 20, it's nothing special, so It doesn't really mean anything, I'll talk to my agent about future plans and possibilities. "But at the end of the day, it's about who is interested and who is willing to try to get you if the situation comes to that? You can talk about it, but you have to show it on the court and prove that you deserve it."
