Newcastle United coach Eddie Howe gave a candid comment on Lewis Miley and Joe Willlock's performance after a 0-0 draw with Bournemouth, but he also warned that there will be no limit to the chances.
He said: "The midfield staffing is difficult, you need the midfield to have enough strength, but these opportunities may not appear as often as the players expect. So when the opportunity comes, you have to try to catch it. I think Miley has performed very well. He showed a mature side, and I said before, Bournemouth is a very difficult home court, and they put a lot of pressure on it. So every time Miley catches the ball, he has to make a quick decision."
"He is usually a great passer, but I think he's very mature this time. From the physical condition, he performed very well, he didn't show any fatigue in the game and looked very strong."
Speaking of Willok's performance, Howe said : "He is a little bit ahead and he may be a little disappointed on the offensive end. But overall, the team is not constantly putting enough pressure around the opposing penalty area, which is where we need to reflect on it."
Regarding letting Guimaras rest, Howe said: "It will be crucial. We need to take care of him in due time. I think he put in a huge effort last week, looking back at his performance against Wolves, and despite his long trips, he still performed well. Then he went all out against Barcelona, obviously exhausted at the end of the moment. Based on all the data we have got, I think it is necessary to protect him in the next game, and hopefully he can benefit from it in the coming weeks."
