Liverpool celebrity Carragher recently said on a podcast that Chelsea spent a lot of money to change many people, but the level has not improved. This remark has caused controversy, and Carragher has now responded to this.
After Carag's remarks came out, TV host Olivia Buzaglo asked Carag on the talkSPORT program why he determined that the Blues were getting further and further away from the Premier League champion. She then further accused the Liverpool celebrity of "always full of negative comments about Chelsea".
In response to this, Carragher responded: "I am not deliberately belittle Chelsea, but I just insist on the consistent objective evaluation for the past year. The comments on player transfers are aimed at the club's revolving blood exchange strategy. They are just replacing each other with players of the same level, and this summer is still the same."
"I think they are farther away from the championship, because the existing goalkeeper and central defender combination are not enough to compete for the championship. What's more, the Champions League will limit their rotation space, and it is impossible to be as flexible as when they competed in the European Union last season."
