Liverpool legend Carragher commented on Manchester United's poor start of the season and the performance of coach Amorin. He believed that Amorin should leave the club as soon as possible and talked about topics such as Manchester United executives, Amorin's tactical system and the team's future.
How do you view Amorin's situation?
I think the reason why he is still in the position of coach is because Manchester United's senior executives have made so many mistakes on and off the court that they hardly want to admit that they have made another mistake now.
This is a disaster for Manchester United and Amorin. Everything he did at Portugal Sports was excellent and he looked like the next top coach. But introducing a coach with his tactical system has never been in line with Manchester United's tradition. The faster the club makes a decision against the head coach, I think the better for everyone, because it is not only a disaster for the club, but for this coach too.
We are just waiting for that inevitable ending, unfortunately you don't want to see anyone lose their job, but this has to end soon.
Is Manchester United's sports management also responsible?
Many coaches will say, 'My system may change, but my style will not'. His system is his treasure, which is like letting Klopp not go to high pressure, or letting Guardiola not penetrate through the middle lane for a short pass. The responsibility lies with Bellada, Jason Wilcox or Sir Jim Ratcliff, who brought him in.
In 49 games he coached, he replaced the starting three-back combination 42 times, which he did when he was in Portugal Sports, and the top management knew that when he came.
Do you think there is a problem with the team's lineup?
I think any other Premier League head coach will think when he sees Manchester United's roster, 'I can do better than him'.
The only positive factor for Manchester United is that they are not fully circulating his system. They gave him a lot of money to spend, but didn't buy a lot of dedicated centre-backs or wingbacks.
The players they bought can easily be converted to the four-back system, allowing B-fee to play the No. 10 position, Mbermo is on the right, maybe Cunia is on the left, and Sheshko is on the front, I think a competent football coach can lead this team to enter or compete for European seats in that system.
What do you think about Amorin's future?
Manchester United has changed a lot, but the coaches are still given time. Amorin has coached for less than 12 months, but the situation can no longer be worse.
I regret him, he started out in Portugal Sports very well, but for a club of Manchester United, it was incredible to achieve such a result. You don't want to see anyone lose their jobs, but it's better for everyone if they can shake hands and go their separate ways.
