Liverpool legend Carragher believes that Manchester City's invitation of former Liverpool assistant coach Linders to the coaching staff is having a positive impact on the team.

Manchester City beat Wolves 4-0 in the first round of the Premier League. Blue Moon, a team known for possessing the ball to dismantle their opponents, showed a rare threat of high-speed counterattack in this game.

Carragher said in the "Monday Football Night" program: "Although it's just a game, I always remember Guardiola said last season, 'This is not the football development trend I understand'. He refers to the kind of offense and defense transition with big openings and closings. Linders is an important coach and has a profound impact on Klopp. I do see the shadow of that Liverpool in this Manchester City."

"The scene of players frequently hitting the high defense line in the weekend games is incredible. Looking back on the counterattack between Liverpool and Mane and Salah, Reindez's goal is a masterpiece, which is not very similar to a typical Guardiola-style goal. Of course, they also scored counterattacks in the past, but the quality and celebration of this time were particularly eye-catching. Linders and Guardiola's hugs were very telling."
