Why do cats like to bring things to their owners?

We often see cats bringing their own children, toys, and mice to their owners on the Internet. We can still understand and accept the first two, but mice are still a bit scary. Why do cats have this behavior? Is it implying something?

carefully fled stray cats and domestic cats have this behavior. Is this the legendary "cat's gratitude"? On the one hand, it is like this: sharing food is a way for animals to express their friendly attitude; on the other hand, it also shows that it thinks your home is safe and you can bring your prey back. When corpses such as rats and sparrows that still have warmth appear in front of you, I believe that many girls who keep cats will lose their looks on the spot. The cat fathers probably don’t look much better. However, the cats have no intention of deliberately disgusting their owners. Doing so is to show their love.

1. Cat hunting nature

Don't keep cats if you don't have these four conditions. Even if you love cats, you can't give the life you want. From the little ancient cat, the ancestor of cats 60 million years ago, to the current lions, tigers, and domestic cats, cats, cats have always adhered to the carnivorous route and remained unwavering. They are not willing to surrender to omnivore. The movement systems of various cats always develop in a direction that run faster, walk lighter, and bite more deadly. The digestive system has always only recognized meat. Regardless of whether cats are full or not, hunting is entirely their nature. Sometimes cats will rush out from the corner to hug people's ankles, and will chase them when they see moving fur things. They can stare at the birds outside the window for hours. These are actually manifestations of their hunting instinct.

2. Prove that the cat loves you

The cat takes the prey home and puts it in front of you is actually a proof of its deep feelings for you, because this is the cat showing its hunting ability and sharing its victory with you. At the same time, the cat brings its prey home, which also shows that it believes that its home is very safe and can feel safe to treat its home as its own nest. In the wild, the most important thing for animals is probably food. It is not an exaggeration to fight for food, and sharing food is the best manifestation of a friendly attitude. Think about the scene where the female cat brings back food to the kitten, how warm it is.

3. This behavior needs to be corrected.

The cat takes prey home to express love for you, but this is not good for cats and people. Cats may unfortunately catch rats who have taken rat poison, and people may be shocked. Besides, the small animals outside may also carry parasites or harmful bacteria. Therefore, you have to try to stop the cat's behavior. It is not advisable to throw away the spoils offered by the cat directly. The cat will think that you don’t like its prey. Next time, it is likely to catch a bigger one. If you don’t do it well, you will catch a living person, so when throwing it, you have to throw it away with the cat on your back. It would be very effective to hang a small bell around the neck of the cat, so it would not catch its prey. In addition, playing with the cat frequently and making a few furry rat-like objects for it will help it vent its vigorous energy and enjoy the pleasure of hunting. Keeping two cats is also a good solution to the problem. Finally, if you don’t want to be so troublesome, just close the door and don’t let the cat go out (but remember to play with it often).
