50-year-old father Wang pushes his homemade "wheelchair" to take his 14-year-old golden retriever Qiqi for a walk every evening, which becomes the most beautiful scenery in the alleys. Qiqi is paralyzed due to old age and tumors on her hind legs, and can only be with her for another three months at most. So her father decided to "make him smile happily every day" and slowly push the "loving wheelchair" to let him move his limbs bit by bit.

Dad used a loving wheelchair to push him for a walk, and Qiqi smiled.

Qiqi couldn't move and lay on the ground with a sad face.

Since Qiqi’s father is very low-key, he entrusted Yan Xingjuan, chairman of the Taiwan Dog Lovers Association, to be interviewed. Qiqi has been the little bully in the family since he was a child. He is very family-oriented and protective of his master. He only recognizes his father, mother, brother, and the other golden retriever Niuniu and Mixnini in the family. Apart from these "beloved relatives", if anyone or a dog approaches, he will bark angrily. As it gets older, it no longer has the strength to stand up and protect its family. However, the whole family loves it so much that they try their best to accompany it on its final journey of life.

Qiqi (left) used to be a little bully and was very protective of his master. Xiongxiong (right) passed away three years ago.

Qiqi is a very handsome golden retriever, always with a confident smile on his face.

About half a month ago, Qiqi's mobility decreased significantly, and he had to lie down to rest after walking a few steps. A month ago, due to a tumor in his hind legs that eroded the bones, he became unable to move and could only lie paralyzed on the ground. His father couldn't bear to see this situation and took Qiqi to the doctor. He kept trying to buy better health care products to strengthen his muscles and heal his legs. However, Yan Xingjuan persuaded him to "stay with him and make him happy! Time is running out."

Yan Xingjuan recalled the phone call at that time, "Qiqi's father, a grown man, burst into tears." She told Qiqi's father that this is a necessary process for every owner, although it is sad, "But the dog stays with us all his life, and the last thing we can do is to make it happy. Give it what it wants to eat, let it do whatever it wants, and try our best to accompany it and try our best to make Qiqi happy."

Qiqi likes to go out in the car with her friends the most!

Qiqi has loved going out with her family since she was a child. Playing in the water by the stream and running on the grass are her favorites. Seeing that Qiqi was paralyzed on the ground and unable to move, with her most handsome face falling down, her father decided to help it find a way to "move". He found a dog wheelchair, but Qiqi was not suitable for it because he could not use his limbs, and it was inconvenient to use a walker because Qiqi was too heavy. Finally, he decided to "make it myself!"

Qiqi's father used power point to draw a simple design.

Qiqi’s father revealed that the reason why the cloth has 5 holes is because “Qiqi is a man”!

Dad Wang is not a professional designer. All his ideas come from "love". He found inspiration from the news of "Golden Retriever Sling" and drew a simple design that matched the height that Qiqi can stand and the height that he can push. He also added wheels so that Qiqi can be pushed around a little. He then found a cast iron factory to make the finished product, and it was completed in less than a week, "because Qiqi's time cannot wait."

Qiqi: Thank you dad for helping me make the wheelchair. Now I can bask in the sun and move around again!

Yan Xingjuan said that after Qiqi became paralyzed, she would always look out the door every time someone opened the door. "It must have thought that she could go out before, so why can't she move now?" But when the "Love Wheelchair" appeared, Qiqi's face finally burst into smiles, "We saw it now I was able to move around for a little bit, and the expression on my face was so happy that I burst into tears.”

In addition, Qiqi’s father works near home. He goes home to stay with the baby at noon every day, carries him to the toilet, and sleeps next to Qiqi at night to guard him around the clock. Yan Xingjuan mentioned that Wang’s father is a senior volunteer of the association. If the association needs help, he will definitely put Qiqi in the back seat and go out together, squeezing out every minute and every second to accompany him with all his strength.

Although Qiqi’s mobility is inconvenient, his father will still take him to dog parties, but now he can only lie on the ground and watch.

Yan Xingjuan mentioned that tumors tend to occur in large dogs such as golden retrievers and Labrador retrievers, but not all dogs are as happy as Qiqi, who has a good owner who will accompany him throughout his life. Many dogs and cats in the shelter were sent to "wait for death" by their original owners because they were old, sick, or paralyzed. "In fact, we rely on these furry friends. They stay with us all their lives. Why would anyone give them away when they need them most?"

There was once a puppy with a tumor on its face and was thrown into the shelter by its owner. Yan Xingjuan saw it and thought, "She won't live much longer." She decided to take it out. "In the end, it only lived for one month, but during this month, we tried hard to make it happy, and it left with love." She said, these old fur babies have devoted their whole lives to a home, "but in the end they are alone in the shelter. How can I bear it?" Although not every owner can spend time with Qiqi like Dad, but at least they must "never leave" and accompany the fur babies throughout their life journey.

Qiqi: I am old, but my father will never leave me. I love my family so much.

A dog is also a family member. If you love it, you will accompany it for the rest of your life. I am so touched.
