As more and more people start raising cats, poop shovelers should also have some understanding of cats' daily behavior, such as blinking. Humans often "blink" by accident, but we find that kittens keep blinking in one eye. What is the reason?
1. Foreign objects stimulate
When one of the kitten's eyes enters foreign objects such as dust, hair, flying insects, etc., the cat will keep blinking due to discomfort in the eyes. In this regard, the owner can gently open the cat's eyes to see if there is any foreign object. If so, he can wash it with normal saline, wash out the foreign object, and then use antibacterial and anti-inflammatory eye drops to prevent infection. But if the foreign object in the cat's eyes is relatively large and has pierced into the eyeball, then the cat needs to be sent to the pet hospital and a professional doctor will take it out.
2. Inverted eyelashes
If the kitten's eyelashes are longer, the eyelashes will constantly stimulate the eyeballs, which will cause the cat to blink continuously, and will also be accompanied by shy tears, red eyes, and increased secretions in the eyes. In this regard, the owner can use his hands to spread the cat's lower eyelid downwards. If he sees eyelashes growing inward, this situation is called eyelashes regression, and he needs to go to a pet hospital for eyelid correction surgery for treatment.
3. Suffering eye diseases
If a kitten keeps blinking in one eye, and is accompanied by symptoms such as tears, increased secretions, flushing in the conjunctiva, unwilling to open his eyes, and constantly scratching his eyes, it is likely that he suffers from eye diseases such as keratitis and conjunctivitis. In order to relieve eye discomfort, he will keep blinking. In this regard, it is recommended that the owner take the cat to the pet hospital for examination, determine the specific cause before undergoing corresponding treatment.
