Some friends bought dog-specific toilets. Here I will introduce to you "How to teach dogs to learn to use dog toilets?"
First of all, we need to understand the composition of dog toilets, which consists of two parts: tray and grille. When the grille is placed in the tray, the dog will pee and flow into the tray through the grill, so that the dog's butt will not touch the urine, and the dog's urine will not flow anywhere, which can keep the dog and the floor clean. The material of the tray is generally injection molded from PVC material. The average thickness is about 3mm and it is relatively sturdy and durable. Different sizes can be selected according to the size of the dog. Where is the best place for a dog's toilet? Dogs don't like to pee in places where they eat or sleep, so their toilet should be placed far away from their nests and places where they eat, at least two meters away. It is recommended that you place it in a corner of the living room or a balcony.
How to make dogs accept and use dog toilets?
1. You can spray some inducer on the bottom of the grille (this inducer is generally available in pet supplies stores), or follow the method of training your dog to urinate and defecate in a fixed order, and bring it to (mostly when it is carried to) its toilet before it is ready to pee or stinking.
2. You can also train with newspapers, remove the grille of its special toilet and put it into the newspaper. After several successful use, put the grille on the newspaper in the tray. When you are sure that your dog is used to using the dog toilet, you can no longer place the newspaper under the grille, which is more convenient to clean.
If your dog has been trained in a newspaper, you usually just need to place its toilet where it usually urinates and defecates, and then place the newspaper on the toilet. After a few successful use, you can remove the newspaper and use the dog toilet completely.
