Raising a dog is not a trivial matter. Many novices will do a lot of homework to understand the dog before raising a dog. So the first thing you need to know is, what things can’t be eaten by dogs?

1. Chocolate/coffee/strong tea (fatal)

These foods contain cocoamin, caffeine, theophylline and other ingredients. If taken, it will reduce blood flow in the dog's brain and damage their heart and central nervous system.

2. Grapes/raisins (fatal)

Grapes and raisins can lead to nephrotoxicity (renal failure). Even when feeding dogs apples, watermelons and other fruits, they need to remove both skin and seeds.

3. Mushroom foods (fatal)

Mushroom foods contain toxins. If eaten by dogs, it may affect multiple systems in their bodies, and even lead to shock or death.

4. Onions/garlic (dangerous)

Onions contain disulfide components, which are harmless to humans, but if eaten by dogs, it will cause red blood cells to oxidize, which directly causes the dog to be unable to provide the oxygen they need.

5. Liver (danger)

In fact, eating a small amount of liver is beneficial to dogs. However, because the liver contains high units of vitamin A, eating too much liver will cause vitamin A poisoning or vitamin A hypersensitivity.

6. Chicken bones and broken bones (dangerous)

Chicken bones and those broken bones are very easy to pierce the dog's throat and slit the esophagus and stomach. So remember, don't give the dog the bones directly after eating the chicken, especially those broken bones.

7. Raw eggs (dangerous)

Raw protein contains a protein of protein that depletes vitamin H in the dog's body, which is an indispensable nutrient for dog growth and promoting fur health.

8. Seafood and river food (hazardous)

If aquatic food is accidentally eaten by dogs, it is easy to cause indigestion in the dog, especially undercooked river shrimp and river crabs, which can easily cause parasitic infections and severe allergic reactions.

9. Fermented dough/alcoholic beverages (dangerous)

Alcoholic beverages contain alcohol, which can destroy the liver and kidney function of the dog, causing them to be poisoned or coma, and in severe cases may lead to death.

10. Avocado (dangerous)

The leaves, seeds, and the entire fruit of avocado should not be eaten by dogs. If eaten accidentally, it may cause vomiting and diarrhea to the dog, causing great harm to the body.

11. Hawaiian nuts (dangerous)

Hawaiian nuts contain an unknown toxin that can damage the muscles of the dog's digestive and nervous system.

12. Human medicines (hazards)

There are great differences in body size and digestion between humans and dogs. If dogs accidentally eat human medicines and do not measure them, it may lead to drug poisoning of dogs.

13. Tobacco/marijuana (dangerous)

Dogs are not like humans. The nicotine in cigarettes will directly invade the dog's nervous system and digestive system. Cannabis or drugs will cause greater harm to the dog.

14. Plums (dangerous)

It is okay for humans to eat foods like plums, but the digestive tract of dogs is not as good as that of humans. Inadvertent eating of plums will cause gastrointestinal blockage.

15. Moldy/scattered food (dangerous)

Don't give the dog food that has expired and causes moldy and rotten food. The toxins in it will also cause the dog to vomit and have diarrhea, and in severe cases it will lead to the decay of other organs.

16. Milk (not recommended)

Dogs are not suitable for drinking milk because many dogs are born with lactose discomfort, especially when they are puppies. If you drink milk, you will have a series of symptoms such as farting, diarrhea, dehydration, inflammation, etc. You must stop feeding or replace it with lactose-free milk.

17. High-salt, high-sugar, and high-fat foods (not recommended)

Eating these high-salt foods and spices will increase the burden on their kidneys and liver, making their sense of smell slower. Like humans, high-sugar foods can lead to obesity, and dogs should not eat too much.

18. Cat food (not recommended)

Cat food contains beefy acid. Eating cats will help improve vision. If dogs eat too much, it will lead to excessive beefy acid in the body, which will trigger a poisoning reaction.

Therefore, it is recommended that before feeding things to dogs, you must know whether these things are really suitable for them to eat, so as not to cause disaster!
